Jamaica, Ireland face off in One Day game
The Supreme Ventures Sports Betting Jamaica Cricket Festival continues today with hosts Jamaica playing Ireland in a One-Day match at Port Rhodes Sports Club, formerly Kaiser Bauxite, today.
This represents the second game in the festival, as the teams had played to a draw in the opening three-day match, which ended on Monday at Chedwin Park.
Charlemont High and national Under-19 wicketkeeper/batsman, Kemar Marshall and left-arm seamer Krishmar Santokie are expected to be drafted into Jamaica line up for the one-day match.
Marshall, a left-handed stroke player, is expected to replace Donovan Pagon, while Santokie, is down to replace young leg-spinner Akeem Dewar.
Jamaica will play Canada in another one-day game at the same venue tomorrow, before closing out their schedule in the Festival with 20/20 matches on the weekend against Canada and Ireland at the Trelawny Multi-Purpose Stadium.
The West Indies, who are slated to arrive in the country tomorrow, will also bow into action at the Trelawny Multi-Purpose Stadium on the weekend with 20/20 games against Canada on Saturday and Ireland on Sunday.
The West Indies and Ireland are both using the Festival to warm-up for the International Cricket Council World 20/20 championship, which will be held in the eastern Caribbean later this month.
