Jamaica have restricted Canada to 122 for five after 32 overs at Sports Time in their Supreme Ventures Sports Betting Jamaica Cricket Festival 50-over contest at the Port Rhodes Sports Club in Discovery Bay, St Ann.

Dave Bernard Junior has taken most wickets for Jamaica so far with two for 18 off six overs.

All-rounder Andre Russell and Krishmar Santokie supported with a wicket each.

Ashish Bagari slammed a half-century for the Canadians before he was dismissed for 53.

The match is the third game of the Jamaica Cricket Festival.

In the opening game of the festival, Jamaica and Ireland battled to a draw in a three-day encounter. The Jamaicans then defeated Ireland by six wickets in a 50-over contest at the Port Rhodes Sports Club yesterday.

The festival, which ends on April 17, involves the West Indies team. The festival features action in two One-Day Internationals, six 20/20 matches and one 50-over match.

The West Indies and Ireland are both using the Festival to warm up for the International Cricket Council (ICC) World 20/20 Championship, which will be held in the eastern Caribbean later this month.
