Jamaica’s young netballers arrived in Barbados last night where they will seek to defend their title at the 2010 Jean Pierre Under-16 tournament, which began yesterday.
The tournament ends on April 18 and Jamaica are strong favourites to win their sixth title.
Jamaica have retained five members of last year’s successful squad.
The format of the tournament has been changed and will now see the stronger teams competing in one zone, while the weaker teams will play in another.
Jamaica’s zone will comprise of Dominica, Barbados, St Lucia, Grenada and Trinidad and Tobago.
Jamaica will bow into action on Sunday, when they play Dominica.
