A court in London has been told that a man died after unwittingly drinking liquid cocaine concealed in a bottle of St Lucian rum.
Jurors heard that 63-three-year old Lascell Malcolm accepted the bottle as a gift from a friend who did not realize she had been used as a drugs mule.
Another man, Martin Newman has pleaded not guilty to the manslaughter of Mr Malcolm and importing the drug.
The state prosecutor reported that two more passengers from St Lucia had also brought bottles of Bounty rum into the UK on the same flight but charges against them were dropped.
