Alpha beat Mona High

Alpha Academy whipped Mona High 6-0 in the girls’ competition as the 2010 Inter-Secondary Schools Sports Association/Jamaica Hockey Federation school competitions began yesterday at the Mona Hockey Turf.



Shanar White scored all six goals for Alpha Academy in the Zone ‘A’ clash.



In the boys’ competition, Papine High and Mona High also got good starts.



Papine High blanked Kingston College 2-0, while Mona High defeated Jamaica College 4-0.



The competitions continue this afternoon with four games. Defending boys’ champions Munro College are down to contest two games in Zone ‘A’; the first will be against St Andrew Technical High School, beginning at 1 p.m.



Munro College will take the turf again at 4 p.m. to face Wolmer’s Boys.



Also in Zone ‘A’, Tivoli Gardens will play Excelsior High, beginning at 3 p.m.



The day’s other game features Papine against Queens in a Girls’ Zone ‘B’ encounter, beginning at 2 p.m.
