Four professional Australian polo players have been confirmed for the 2010 Scotia Private Client Group Jamaica Open, which will be held over three days later this month at the Kingston Polo Club.

The Australians, who are highly rated, are Jorge Donovan, Juan Humbert, Tomas Gandara and Jose Lartigoyen.

The Jamaica Open starts on April 20 and continues on April 22 with the finals scheduled to take place on April 25.

It represents the first time that Scotiabank Group Financial Centre will be associated with the event, and Dennis Lalor, president of the Jamaica Polo Association says the tournament will be a real threat.

Four teams will contest the tournament. The teams are Pegasus, which includes four Jamaicans, Strawberry Hill, Bin 26 and Scotia Private Client.

The final day will feature a Subsidiary Final at 2 p.m., while the Grand Final for the Jamaica Open Trophy will begin at 3.30 p.m.
