Alleged Cuban smugglers charged

Two Cubans have been charged by authorities in Florida with smuggling 15 immigrants from Jamaica, Haiti and Sri Lanka into the United States.



Janoy GarcĂ­a-Prieto and Renier Perez-Hernandez, both in their 20s, face charges of immigrant smuggling.



If convicted, they face a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison.



The immigrants, including four from Haiti and seven from Jamaica, landed at Miami Beach on a luxury yacht on Monday.
