STETHS retain ISSA/Grace Headley title

Defending champions St Elizabeth Technical High School (STETHS) have retained the ISSA/Grace Headley Cup cricket title after the three-day final ended in a draw today at Alpart Sports Club in St Elizabeth.



Holmwood set 306 runs for victory were 113 for three in their second innings when the game was called off due to bad light.



STETHS were declared winners after winning first innings point earlier in the day.



Resuming this morning on 126 for nine replying to STETHS’ first innings score of 213, Holmwood Technical were bowled out for 129.



Medium pacer Damion Reid got the last wicket to finish with five for 13 off 11.4 overs.



Batting a second time, STETHS with a first innings lead of 84, were dismissed for 222, a lead of 306.



It was the fourth straight victory for STETHS. The school has also won the double after taking the Grace Limited Over title earlier in the season.



Final scores in the match are STETHS 213 and 222; Holmwood Technical 129 and 113 for three.
