West Indies, Sri Lanka face off in 20/20

West Indies Women and Sri Lanka Women will continue their preparation for the upcoming 20/20 World Cup today when they face off in the first of three 20/20 Internationals at St. Mary’s Park in St Kitts.



The other practice matches are scheduled for Friday, and Saturday also at St. Mary’s Park.



Sri Lanka will enter the game on a high after defeating West Indies by 38 runs in the second and final One-Day International at St Paul’s Sports Complex in St Kitts yesterday.



The series ended 1-1 as West Indies Women had won the opening match by two wickets on Monday.



Sri Lanka Women, choosing to bat, were dismissed for 198 off 49 point 4 overs against the bowling of Pamela Lavine four for 17, Anisa Mohammed two for 33 and Stafanie Taylor two or 35.



Chamari Atapattu 38, Chamani Seneviratne 33 and Dilani Manodara got most runs for Sri Lanka.



Needing 199 runs for victory, West Indies Women were bowled out for 160 off 47 point 3 overs with Taylor topscoring with 36, Shanel Daley getting 28 and Anisa Mohammed 23 not out.
