Ronron looks safe

The highly thought of RONRON as expected won the three-year-old and up Restricted Stakes event for imported horses over 1400 metres at Caymanas Park earlier this afternoon.



It was the second victory from four starts for RON RON, who was again ridden by jockey Paul Francis.



Backed as a one-to-nine choice, the Gary Subratie-trained RONRON won by four lengths ahead of second choice BELOW THE WAIST, but the Shane Ellis ridden filly was disqualified for causing interference to several horses.



BELOW THE WAIST was last in the seven-horse field.



BURST OF ENERGY, a 5-1 shot, with Winston Griffiths was promoted to second.



Another eight-and-a-half lengths behind was ALEXA’S SONG, at massive odds of 99-1 in third with Ameth Robles, while CHINA CROSSING finished fourth in the field of seven.
