Bad start for Jamaica in World Junior

The Jamaican pair of Anthony McNee and Dennis Coke found the going rough on yesterday’s opening day of individual events at the BWF World Junior Badminton Championship in Mexico.
McNee had a first round loss to Canadian Nyl Yakura 21-12, 21-16 and Coke, after receiving a bye in the first round, went down to second seed, Wei Sheng Loi of Malasia 21-10, 21-11 in round two.
The Jamaicans will now turn their attentions to the men’s double later today when they face the highly ranked Indian pair of Sai Pranneet and Pranav Chopra.
