Jamaica’s Reggae Boyz to face South Africa

Jamaica\'s Reggae Boyz will tackle World Cup hosts South Africa in a hurriedly arranged friendly international on Wednesday in Frankfurt, Germany.

The Reggae Boyz are scheduled to depart the country tomorrow and will arrive in Germany a few hours after kick off time.

South Africa were due to face China but had to make new plans when the Chinese said the volcanic ash cloud over Europe was hampering the trip.

The South African Football Association is to make a complaint to FIFA over the cancelled friendly.

The South Africa team is in Germany staging a training camp ahead of the FIFA World Cup.

They have played only one game during their German training camp, a goalless draw with North Korea.

This will be the fourth meeting between the teams with their last meeting being in November last year in Bloemfontein, South Africa. That game, like the others, ended in a draw.

Jamaica are currently ranked 78th by FIFA, while South Africa are ranked at 88th.
