Innswood win first innings points from STETHS

Innswood High, with an overall lead of 183 runs and four wickets in hand, hold the advantage going into today’s final day of the three-day Spalding Cup playoff with defending champions St Elizabeth Technical High School (STETHS) in Santa Cruz.



The Grace Shield and Limited Overs champions will resume today on 122 for six batting a second time after winning first innings points from STETHS by 61 runs yesterday.



Terrence Brown 13 and Kerwin Bonner 4 are the batsmen at the crease. Opener Peat Salmon has so far top scored with 46.



During yesterday’s second day, STETHS replying to Innswood’s first innings total of 285, were bowled out for 224 runs after resuming on 26 without loss.



Jermaine Bennett led Innswood’s bowling attack with five for 75. Vanreil Broomfield 57 and Sheldon Samuels 56 scored half centuries for STETHS.
