Inter-American Development Bank (IADB) has donated an additional $90 million to Haiti.

The IADB says the funds will be used for projects to help the country cope with the impact of the devastating January 12 earthquake.

The funds include a grant of $50 million towards budgetary support to Haiti.

A separate disbursal of $30 million is intended to help the authorities relocate 5,000 families from tent camps in high risk areas in the Haitian capital, Port au Prince.

The bank says it will also distribute a $10 million grant from the Spanish Cooperation Fund for Water and Sanitation in Latin American and the Caribbean to improve water supplies to 60,000 Haitians in rural communities.
