Reggae Boy Stoke City gain promotion

Stoke City, the club of Reggae Boy Ricardo Fuller, were promoted back to the top flight after a 23-year absence following a goalless Coca-Cola Championship draw against Leicester at the Britannia Stadium yesterday.

Fuller came closest to score in the fist half but goalkeeper Paul Henderson made a superb save to deny the Jamaican.

Leicester are now out of the top two divisions for the first time in its 124-year history.

The race for the last UEFA spot will be decided on the final day of the season after Arsenal thwarted Everton’s qualification hopes with a 1-0 victory.

Nicklas Bendtner scored the only goal of the game 13 minutes from time to deny the Toffees the point they needed to seal fifth place in the Premier League.
