West Indies against Ireland

Hosts West Indies, batting first after winning the toss, were 113 for six off 17 overs in their opening match of the 20/20 World Cup against Ireland at Guyana National Stadium.



Ramnaresh Sarwan has so far topscored for West Indies with 24 off 26 deliveries. Opener Andre Fletcher was dismissed for 19 off 22 balls, Shivnarine Chanderpaul got 14 from 12, stand-in captain Dwayne Bravo 18 from 10 and Narsingh Deonarine 10 from 16.



Darren Sammy 19 and Kieron Pollard 5 are the batsmen at the crease.



George Dockrell has so far taken three wickets for 16 off four overs and Boyd Rankin two for 35, also off four overs.



West Indies have been depleted by the omission of regular captain Chris Gayle, left-arm spinner Sulieman Benn and speedster Kemar Roach.
