Jamaica’s team in Group ‘A’ for basketball championship

Jamaica’s women basketball team has been drawn in Group ‘A’ for the 2010 Centro Basketball championship, which qualifies four teams to the 2011 FIBA Americas Championship.
Jamaica will open their campaign on July 6 against host country Dominican Republic, a day after the competition began.
Group ‘A’ also consists of US Virgin Islands, British Virgin Islands and Panama.
Puerto Rico, Belize, Trinidad and Tobago, Mexico and Cuba will compete in Group ‘B’.
Jamaica’s other matches are against British Virgin Islands on July 7, US Virgin Islands on July 8 and Panama on July 9.
The top two teams in each group will qualify for the semi-finals, scheduled for July 10. The final will take place on July 11.
