Cashema Carter of Naggo Head wins girl's high jump

Cashema Carter of Naggo Head Primary won the girls’ high jump open final with a record-equaling jump of 1.48 metres on today’s second day of the four-day INSPORTS/Swizzle Primary Schools Athletics Championship at the National Stadium.
Only one other final was contested today.
Amal Ellis had given Bridgeport the early lead with nine points after winning the Boys Long Jump Open with a leap of 5.09 metres earlier in the day.
Lasranz Campbell of Portsmouth was second with a leap of 5.05 metres and St Benedict’s Daniel Dawkins was third with a leap of 4.90 metres.
Naggo’s Head won last year with a combined score of 208.50 points to dethrone St Benedict’s with 202 points.
