Australia beat India by 49 runs

Australia defeated India by 49 runs in the opening Group ‘A’ Super Eight match of the World 20/20 Championship at Kensington Oval in Barbados today.
Australia, sent in to bat, scored 184 for five from their allotted 20 overs and then bowled out India for 135 with 14 deliveries to spare.
Dirk Nannes and Shaun Tait led the Aussies’ bowling attack with three wickets a piece.
Nannes ended with three for 25 off four overs, while Tait had figures of three for 21.3 overs.
Rohit Sharma topscored for India with 79 not out off 46 deliveries.
Earlier, David Warner 72 from 42 balls, Shane Watson 54 from 32 and David Hussey 35 from 22 put Australia in command.
Yuvrah Singh and Ashish Nehra were India’s most successful bowler with two wickets each.
