Seven schoolboys included in national senior squad
Seven schoolboys have been called to a 25-member national squad to prepare for the CAC Games to be held in Puerto Rico from July 17 to August 1.
The schoolboys are Marvin Morgan of St George’s College and Premiership team Boys’ Town, Oneil Fisher also of St George’s College, Christopher Waugh, Wolmer’s Boys, Ashani Walker, Jamaica College, Jason Johnson, Manchester High, Darren Mattocks, Bridgeport High and St Elizabeth Technical High Schools’ Deshorn Brown.
The squad also includes nine members of the 2009 Jamaica’s Under-20 squad, who participated in the FIFA Under-20 World Cup qualifiers.
Those players are Gariece McPherson, Andre Blake, Andrae Campbell, Andre Darby, Romeo Parkes, Andre Steele, Romario Campbell, Damaine Thompson and Davion Thorpe.
The last time Jamaica participated in the CAC Games was in 2006 when the country got to the quarter-final stage.
