Champion trainer Wayne DaCosta has pulled Classic Prospect from the $3.3 million Lotto Classic for the Governor’s Cup, which will run on Labour Day, Monday, May 24 at Caymanas Park.

DaCosta has three other entries in the 2,000-metre event, the final prep for the June 12 Jamaica Derby.

His other entries are the 2000 Guineas runner-up Life Is Jus for Living, the Oaks second-place finisher Excellence and Trial Lawyer.

Life Is Jus for Living is ante-post favourite and will be ridden by champion jockey Omar Walker.

Other leading lights in the race are top weight Colnel Wales, from the Percy Hussey stables, the Anthony Nunes-trained lightweight, Junior minister, who was a fast-finishing third in the 2000 Guineas; and the Colin Ferguson-trained Heart of a Champion, winner of his last two races.
