West Indies ‘A’ approaching victory
The West Indies ‘A’ team has taken a firm grip on the four-day Test against Bangladesh ‘A’ at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Bangladesh.
Set a victory target of 431 runs, Bangladesh ‘A’ ended today’s third day struggling on 233 for seven despite a century from Shahriar Nafees.
Nafees hammered 133, while Saghir Hossain scored 47.
Bowling for West Indies ‘A’, Odean Brown has so far taken three for 33 and Gavin Tonge two for 26.
Earlier, West Indies ‘A’ declared their second innings at 269 for six after resuming on 162 for two.
Kirk Edwards 72, Devon Smith 62, Darren Bravo 37 and Travis Dowlin 32 scored most runs for West Indies ‘A’.
Suhrawadi Shuvo was the most successful bowler for Bangladesh ‘A’ with three for 104.
Scores in the match so far, West Indies ‘A’ 285 and 269 for six declared, Bangladesh ‘A’ 125 and 233 for seven.
