British Labour parliamentarian, Dianne Abbott, says she wants to help the Labour Party reshape itself in the aftermath of the May 6 general election.
Ms. Abbott says she also intends to contest the party\'s leadership race.
“People want a broad debate and a range of candidates that reflect the modern Labour Party,” said Ms Abbott.
Ms. Abbott, whose parents are Jamaican, has joined five other potential leaders who have thrown their hat into the ring to lead the former governing Labour Party.
She\'s particularly concerned about how the question of immigration is being handled.
