Jamaican athlete named for Honour roll

Former national junior javelin record holder, Shaneka Parkes was yesterday named among 26 University of South Dakota student-athletes to the North Central Track and Field Conference’s Academic Honour Roll.



The Honour Roll consists of 119 student-athletes. The athletes must have a minimum 3.20 grade point average and completed at least two semesters at their current school.



Parkes, a Carifta Games bronze medallist in the javelin, was recently named North Central Conference outdoor field athlete of the week.
