The International Federation of Netball Associations (IFNA) has selected Jamaican netball umpire Sylvester Campbell to officiate in this year’s Commonwealth Games, which will be held in India from October 3 to 14.

Campbell, who received an International Umpires Association award in 2005 from the IFNA, will be making his second appearance at the Games.

The 41-year-old Campbell created history at the last Commonwealth Games in Melbourne, Australia, in 2006 by becoming the first male to officiate in the final.

He’s also a cadet on the International Testing Panel, which is responsible for the testing and training of international umpires.
