Belize PM law partner shot

The law partner of Belize's Prime Minister, Dean Barrow, remains in a critical condition in hospital after he was shot last night.
The police say Senior Counsel, Rodwell Williams, was shot near the building housing the Barrow and Williams law offices.
They say two people have been detained in connection with the shooting but it’s not yet known whether the incident is linked to last month’s incident when someone fired a shot at the law offices.
No one has been arrested in that incident.
Williams was rushed to the Universal Health Care Partners Hospital where he underwent surgery last night and remains in critical condition.
The hospital gave no further details of his injury.
Prime Minister Barrow is expected to address the situation at a news conference tomorrow.
