St Catherine wins Under 16 title

St Catherine High pulled off a narrow two-wicket win over Jonathan Grant High to capture the 2010 ISSA/Allied Insurance Urban Area Under-16 Colts cricket title at Melbourne Oval yesterday.



In a low scoring game, St Catherine High set a victory target of 77 reached the score for the loss of eight wickets in the 45th over.



At one stage St Catherine High were struggling on 33 for six.

Clayton Daley top scored for St Catherine High with 19 not out, while Raaj Wright scored 12.



Jermaine Christie and Jamel Bryan took three wickets each for Jonathan Grant.



Earlier, Jonathan Grant sent in to bat were bowled out for 76 off 36 overs against the bowling of off spinner Jermaine Ennis six for 35. Ennis also took a hat trick in his spell.
