The Jamaican rugby team returned to the island yesterday following a disappointing performance at the North America West Indies Rugby Association’s Women’s Championships in Guyana.
Jamaica failed to defend its title after losing 13-10 to hosts Guyana on Saturday’s final day. The Guyanese finished second, while Jamaica ended up third.
Jamaica finished the tournament with one victory and two defeats.
Trinidad and Tobago produced a stunning performance to defeat Cayman Islands 79-0 to capture the title.
The Trinidadian completed the double following their male counterparts’ triumph last month in the Cayman Islands.
