Martial arts confirmed for Busta World Championships
Seven martial arts superpowers, including hosts Jamaica, have been confirmed for the Busta World Team Fighting Championship for the International Sports Karate Association Gold Cup, set for July 4 at National Indoor Sports Centre.
The final round of qualifiers have confirmed International Taekwondo Federation world champions Argentina representing the South American region.
Former world champs Poland will represent Europe, world bronze medallists Canada will represent North America, the Pacific region is being represented by New Zealand, while Japan bow in as Asian champions.
The eliminations started in January for the July final in Jamaica, the first of what will be a three-year franchise awarded to the island by the International Sports Karate Association.
