Two Jamaican winners in France

World and Olympic silver medallist Kerron Stewart of Jamaica won the women’s 100 metres at the Montreuil meeting in France today, while compatriot Dwight Thomas took the men’s 110 hurdles.
Stewart pulled away in the last 30 metres to clock 11.21. Ruddy Zang Milama of France was second in 11.35. Aleen Bailey of Jamaica finished fourth in 11.57.
Thomas edged David Payne of the United States by one hundredth of a second to take the 110 hurdles in 13.37.
Dwain Chambers of Britain ran 10.27 seconds despite a strong headwing of 2.7 metres per second to win the men's 100 ahead of the Jamaican pair of Lerone Clarke, 10.37 and Mario Forsythe, 10.48.
