Over 3000 evacuated in Dom Republic

More than 3,000 persons have been evacuated from their homes in the Dominican Republic following heavy rains triggered by isolated flooding.
Meteorologists have issued an alert for possible flooding and landslides in 10 provinces.
Some streets in the capital, Santo Domingo, were said to be submerged in muddy floodwaters.
