Brooks, Mullings win in Finland

The Jamaican pair of Sheri-Ann Brooks and Steve Mullings were victorious at the Vattenfall Elite Games in Finland yesterday.



Brooks, a Commonwealth Games champion, won the women’s 100 metres in 11.32 seconds into a negative wind. American Alie Israel was second in 11.51, while Jekaterina Chekele of Latvia finished third in 11.71.



Mullings easily took the men’s 200 metres in 20.96 seconds. Canadian Jared Connaughton was second in 20.99 seconds.
