Google’s license renewed in China

Google has been allowed to renew its contract with China after an extended stand-off.



There had been talks that China would reverse the license when Google began redirecting users to an unfiltered search site in Hong Kong



Last month Google decided it would no longer redirect users and would send them to a landing page that would send them to the Hong Kong site.



Google’s lawyer David Drummond has expressed pleasure at the renewal of the license.
