Opposition Leader Arnhim Eustace has warned that legal action could be taken against current ministers in the Ralph Gonsalves administration, for alleged corrupt acts, if the New Democratic Party (NDP) wins the next general elections.

Addressing the NDP’s 32nd annual convention on the weekend, the NDP leader said corruption in government not only has a negative effect on the country’s economy, but also affects the morality and integrity of the nation’s citizens.

Eustace, a former prime minister and finance minister, also listed a number of concerns relating to the manner in which the present government has been borrowing from the National Commercial Bank and the National Insurance Services.
