Update: Pakistan on victory path
Pakistan are on the verge of their first test victory over Australia in 15 years, requiring 40 runs to level the two-match series at Headingley in England after today’s third day.
Set a victory target of 180, Pakistan were 140 for three at stumps with Azhar Ali undefeated on 47 and Umar Akmal not out on two.
Opener Imran Farhat has so far top scored for Pakistan with 67.
Earlier, Australia resuming on 136 for two, were bowled out for 349 in their second innings following impressive bowling performance from Mohammad Aamer.
Aamer finished with 4 for 86 while Mohammad Asif and Danish Kaneria supported by two wickets apiece.
Michael Clarke and Steven Smith top scored for Australia in the second innings with 77 runs each, while skipper Ricky Ponting scored 66.
