Jamaican coaches honoured

Jamaican overseas-based coaches, Victor Thomas and Soyini Thompson-Murray were recently honored by the National Collegiate Athletics Association’s Division Two Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
Thomas, the head coach of Lincoln University in Missouri, was honoured for his team’s performance during the indoor season. He was named South Regional Coach of the Year for the fourth time.
Thomas is formerly of Camperdown and St. Andrew High School.
Thompson-Murray, a past student of Ferncourt and Vere Technical, was named the South Regional Assistant Coach of the Year.
Thompson-Murray is in her third season as the assistant coach of the University of Alabama.
