Guyana against T&T
Guyana, sent in to bat by Trinidad and Tobago, were 166 for 5 after 17.5 overs in the first semi-final of the Caribbean 20/20 Championships at Queen’s Park Oval in Trinidad.
Wet conditions caused by rain delayed the start by 45 minutes, reducing the match to 19 overs-a-side.
T&T have made one change, with Navin Stewart replacing Kevon Cooper, while Guyana are unchanged.
Jamaica and Barbados are scheduled to clash in the second semi-final at 8 p.m.
The two winners of the semi-finals will meet in the grand final tomorrow evening at 8 o’clock.
There is a lot at stake. The winning team will take home the sparkling, new Caribbean 20/20 trophy as well as US$25,000.
The other big prize is a trip to the Airtel Champions League where the winner will compete in Group B alongside Mumbai Indians, Highveld Lions, South Australia Redbacks and Royal Challengers Bangalore.
