Prominent Cuban rebel Guillermo Farinas, who recently ended his four-month hunger strike, has been released from hospital.
Farinas who is 48, began his protest in February to demand the release of imprisoned opposition activists in poor health.
He called off his hunger strike earlier this month following the decision by the Cuban government to free 52 dissidents.
Doctors say he had been near death.
Farinas began his fast after dissident Orlando Zapata Tamayo died following an 85-day hunger strike in February.
