Jamaica’s bid to host next February’s CONCACAF Under-17 Football Championship officially kicked off yesterday, when the federation’s general secretary, Ted Howard, toured and inspected three venues in western Jamaica.
The three venues visited were Jarrett Park and the new Catherine Hall Stadium in Montego Bay, along with the Trelawny Multi-Purpose Stadium at Florence Hall, near Falmouth, Trelawny.
Those venues will be used if the country is selected to host the tournament.
Jamaica Football Federation’s president, Captain Horace Burrell, says he is hoping that the country will be selected.
Honduras, Costa Rica, Canada and the United States are the other countries interested in hosting the championship.
