Jamaica’s senior netball team had its first training session in Melbourne, Australia yesterday, a few hours after arriving in the country for a three test-series.

The Jamaicans are scheduled to play a warm up game on Friday evening, tomorrow morning Jamaica time, before the first test against the world number one-ranked Aussies on Sunday local time.

The first test will take place at the State Netball Hockey Centre in Melbourne. The second test is scheduled for Wednesday, August 11, at the Sydney State Sports Centre in New South Wale and the third and final test on Sunday, August 15, at the Gold Coast Conventional Centre in Queensland.

The Sunshine Girls will then move to New Zealand to play the world number two-ranked team in two games on Wednesday, August 18, at Wespac Arena in Christchurch and Saturday, August 21, at Pettigrew Green Arena near Napier.

Jamaica are using the series to prepare for the upcoming Commonwealth Games in India. The team is scheduled to return home on Monday, August 23.
