Trinidad flooding

Heavy rains in Trinidad over the past few days have caused widespread flooding, destroying a number of homes and properties.
Reports say a number of people have been forced to seek refuge in shelters as a result of the inclement weather.
Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar says she’s concerned that the relief efforts being led by the Office of Disaster Preparedness and Management are not properly coordinated.
Meanwhile, Social Development Minister, Glenn Ramadharsingh, says there are funds available to assist flood victims replace damaged household appliances.
