Jamaica’s national record holder Dorian Scott secured 10th spot in the shot put in the DN Galan’s opening event at a downtown Stockholm park in Sweden today.

Scott only had two throws with his best 19.07 metres.

The event was won by Christian Cantwell, who saved his best throw for the last round with a meeting record of 22.09 metres.

The American has been dominant in 2010, and his last two throws in front of a supportive crowd helped him win the competition called the "Big Shot" for the first time since it began in 2008.

Poland's Tomasz Majewski was Cantwell's closest challenger, finishing second with 21.01. Fellow American Cory Martin finished third with 20.73.

The rest of the events of the Diamond League's 11th meet are scheduled for tomorrow at the Olympic Stadium.
