St Lucia calls for RSS assistance

Security officials in St Lucia are seeking help from the Regional Security System (RSS) to investigate a break-in at the island's maximum security prison on Sunday.



According to officials, a group of heavily armed men stormed the premises and freed two Venezuelans who were serving time for drug trafficking, and a St. Lucian convicted for possession of illegal firearms.



The police say the intruders breached three layers of security fencing around the recreation yard to free the convicts.
