Former 100-metre record holder Jamaican Asafa Powell and American Tyson Gay are listed on the provisional entry list to face off in the two-day Aviva London Grand Prix at Crystal Palace this week.

They are down to clash in the men’s 100 metres on Friday’s opening day of the meet.

Powell was scheduled to face his countryman Usain Bolt and Gay at last week’s DN Galan Diamond League Meet in Stockholm but pulled out due to injury.

Gay won the race, defeating Bolt at the same stadium where the Jamaican lost a race two years ago.

Powell will be attempting to avenge his defeat to Gay at the British Grand Prix in Gateshead last month.

The race will also feature two other Jamaicans, Yohan Blake and Mario Forsythe.

Also down to compete at the meet is Jermaine Gonzales, who smashed the Jamaica senior 400-metre record when he sped to an impressive 44.40 seconds to win the event at the Monaco Diamond League meeting last month.

In the process Gonzales also clocked the fastest quarter-miler in the world this year.

The race, which will take place on Saturday, also includes Jamaican Ricardo Chambers.

Twelve other Jamaicans are listed on the provisional entry list including Beijing Olympic Games 100-metre silver medallist Sherone Simpson, Olympic and World 100-metre silver medallist Kerron Stewart, Isa Phillips, Deloreen Ennis London, Kaliese Spencer and Nickiesha Wilson.
