Jamaica’s Reggae Boyz are set to resume their Brazil 2014 World Cup campaign today when they face Caribbean neighbours Trinidad and Tobago in the first of a two-leg international friendly series at the Marvin Lee Stadium in Trinidad.

The game is scheduled to kick off at 5 p.m. Jamaica time. The return leg will take place in Jamaica on October 10.

The Reggae Boyz opened their 2014 Brazil campaign with a 1-0 win over Canada inside the National Stadium on January 31, then gave a valiant effort in a 2-1 defeat to Argentina in Mar Del Plata on February 10, before suffering 2-0 loss to South Africa in that country.

Jamaica’s squad includes six overseas-based players, while Kendall Jagdeosingh and Keon Daniel are the only two overseas-based players named in Trinidad and Tobago's squad.

Jamaica’s overseas-based players are Eric Vernan and Rodolph Austin, who ply their trades in Europe, along with US-based Shavar Thomas, Ryan Johnson, Dane Richards and Donovan Ricketts.

Among the local-based players three have received their first national call-up to the senior squad. Those players are Devon Williams of Real Mona and St Georges, Oneil Fisher of Harbour View and St Georges and Andre Blake of Sporting Central.

The teams are also using the match as a tune up for the Digicel Caribbean Cup, which starts later this year.
