Australia beat Sunshine Girls again

Jamaica’s Sunshine Girls suffered a 69-42 defeat to Australia this morning in the second game of their three-Test series in Sydney.



As a result of the defeat the Jamaicans now trail the series 2-0 going into the final match on Sunday.



Romelda Aikens led Jamaica with 33 goals from 39 attempts. She had a perfect score in the first quarter – 11 goals from 11 attempts, followed by 10 from 11 in the second, three from six in the third and nine from 11 in the fourth and final quarter.



Vanessa Walker supported with seven goals from 12 attempts and Anna-Kaye Griffiths had two from five.



For the Australians, Susan Pratley had a game-high 36 fro 43 and Catherine Cox scored 14 from 28.



Jamaica lost the opening game of the series 59-38 on Sunday in Melbourne.
