Yohan Blake to face Walter Dix

Rising Jamaican star Yohan Blake will face American Walter Dix in the 200 metres at the Zurich’s Weltklasse Samsung Diamond League meeting in Switzerland next week.



All eyes will be on the 20-year old Blake who is fresh from his stunning 19.78 seconds run behind American Tyson Gay at the Diamond League meeting in Monaco earlier this month.



It was Blake only 200-metre run this year and his 19.78 clocking was the second fastest time by a Jamaican 200-metre runner.



Dix, an Olympic bronze medallist is also in good form. He edged out his countryman Tyson Gay over the distance at the Prefontaine Classic Diamond League meeting in Oregon last month.



Jamaica’s Veronica Campbell-Brown and American sprinter Carmelita Jeter will face-off for the third time this season in the 100 metre.



At the same meet, Olympic and World champion Bolt was down to anchor a Jamaica team including Blake, Mario Forsythe, and Marvin Anderson against the USA with Tyson Gay.



However, Bolt called a premature end to his season on Tuesday because of injury.
