Grenada's Labour Minister, Karl Hood, has accused the Technical and Allied Workers Union of engaging in ambush tactics in the recent industrial dispute with regional carrier LIAT.
However, on Tuesday the two sides reached an agreement on salary adjustments for the period July 2008 to June 2010.
However, a statement from the minister says the union did not follow the grievance procedures.
According to Hood under the industrial protocol signed by both parties, seven days notice must be given for a planned strike, and the labour commissioner and the minister must be given an opportunity to mediate.
However, he says the matter never reached his desk.
