Jean says Haiti needs global leader

Haitian presidential hopeful Wyclef Jean says his country needs a global leader to leader to bring it into the 21st century and get it back on its feet.



Last week, the hip hop star registered as a candidate for the November 28 poll.



Electoral officials have until next Tuesday to accept or reject his candidacy.



If approved , Jean will run on a ticket of the Viv Ansanm or Live Together political party.



According to the musician the country needs a president who will speak to donors and create more allies around the world and let them know that Haiti is ready for transformation.
