Meadhaven United’s qualification to the National Premier League, the country’s top football competition, has been delayed.

Rain yesterday prevented play between Meadhaven United and bottom-placed Wadadah to be completed at the Urban Development Corporation field in Montego Bay.

The teams were locked at 0-0 in the 65th when the game was called off.

Second-placed Rivoli United and third-placed York United battled to a 1-1 draw at Prison Oval in Spanish Town to keep their hopes alive.

Rivoli United now moved to seven points, two behind leaders Meadhaven United on 9 points.

York United are on four points.
